Job Summary
The Pool Service Attendant is responsible to maintain the safety and enjoyment of the public pool area. The Poor Service Attendant is responsible for opening/closing the pool, collect daily fees from patrons, register learn to swim students and maintains other customer service aspects of the pool facility. The Pool Service Attendant works according to set procedures under direct supervision.

Key Functions/Knowledge/Skills
• Assists with opening and closing of the pool facility during normal business hours.
• Handles requests such as checking personal items in and out of storage and loaning pool equipment.
• Collects daily fees from pool users and maintains small cash supply.
• Maintains a safe environment by monitoring and cleaning the pool area, locker rooms, and equipment.
• Assists with daily customer service including registrations for programs, pool rentals or questions from patrons.
• Performs related tasks as assigned.
Minimum Education & Experience
High school graduation or GED.
One (1) year work related experience.
Must be at least eighteen (18) years old and be able to work an open schedule.
Special Certifications & Licenses
Valid Texas Driver’s License
Independence & Judgement
Slightly above average judgement.
Initiative & Ingenuity
Low chance for error because work is routine/repetitive/simple/reviewed carefully; standard procedures: not demanded to come up with creative solutions; refers anything unusual to supervisor.
Supervisory & Responsibility
Does not supervise.

Takes money (fees), gives receipts, does own balancing.
Level & Frequency of Outside Contact
Frequent contact with the public or other organizations; interactions may require obtaining cooperation of people; courtesy and tact are required when dealing with moderately difficult or sensitive issues.
Physical Demands
Light physical effort. Ability to exert up to 20lbs. of force occasionally to move objects.
Responsibility for Equipment & Property
Responsible for assigned equipment/property used outside of office, use of a City vehicle.
Working Conditions
Fair inside or outside conditions; exposure to disagreeable conditions is brief or otherwise insignificant; space problems; only occasional situations that place the employee in a stressful environment.
Other Requirements
