Job Summary
The Golf Cart Attendant must have excellent attention to detail & standards of cleanliness; anticipate customer needs; and excellent listening skills to be responsive to customer concerns, primarily about the conditions of the carts and systematic efficiencies; and communicate feedback to the golf team in order to provide excellent service. Must be flexible in meeting the varying scheduling needs of the Brownsville Golf Center and may be required to work additional hours than scheduled, if necessary. Golf Cart Attendant must be neat and well-groomed in accordance to the Brownsville Golf Center and Parks and Recreation Department dress code. The Golf Cart Attendant is responsible for assisting with the flow of golfers onto the golf course to ensure customer satisfaction, distributes golf carts for the all golfers and assist in maintaining the Brownsville Golf Center during events and create a safe environment for golfers and guests. The Golf Cart Attendant position reports to the Golf Center Manager.

Key Functions/Knowledge/Skills
• No special training required; includes knowledge of basic, routine, or repetitive tasks or operations, such as the ability to operate or use simple tools and equipment.
• Responsible for preparing & staging carts for daily tournament play (i.e. pencils, scorecards, arrangement, etc.)
• Responsible for performing routine maintenance and inspection on golf carts to
• ensure all golf carts are charged and report any golf cart problems to mechanic in a timely manner
• Responsible for detail washing, cleaning, and preparing golf carts fleet for next day or repair.
• Help keep all working areas attractive, neat, organized, clean, and free of debris, trash, and waste (outdoors, restrooms, cart barns, storage, etc.).
• Must maintain a personal professional appearance.
• Assist patrons with handling of golf equipment, cart assignments and returns members and guests at all times.
• Properly shut down facility by turning off all lights, equipment, and locking all doors.
• Assists in events set up and performs related tasks as necessary.
Minimum Education & Experience
High school graduation or GED, or sufficient education to read and write with no experience. Six months of work-related experience preferred.
Special Certifications & Licenses
Valid Texas Driver’s License

Minimal judgment: instructions, once established and defined, normally allow the job to be accomplished without direct and/or constant supervision; mostly routine work requiring that employee recognize obvious problems.

Responsible for assigned equipment/property used outside of office; responsible for handing out to and retrieving property/equipment and keeping inventory; use of agency vehicle.
