Job Summary
The Executive Producer Multiplatform is a management position overseeing the editorial, production and promotion components of Brownsville TV News and related programming on City of Brownsville YouTube and PEG (Public Education Government) Spectrum Channel 1300. This includes news writing, producing and anchoring; podcast producing and hosting; emceeing special City events; and develop social media video content for City platforms. This position encompasses BTV news non-linear content. 
The Executive Producer's role is to oversee production of news content on multiple platforms, provide guidance and management to BTV employees. The ideal person is an energetic manager who embraces the City’s One City culture and is motivated to create an innovative product that stands out. The right person knows how to effectively inspire and support a team, be a consistent high performer, and deliver clear direction and support every day. 
The Executive Producer Multiplatform is a dynamic role that demonstrates experience in storytelling through methods that include news anchoring, reporting and producing, podcast hosting and producing, corporate communications, media advisory and press release writing. Key Functions/Knowledge/Skills
Create Conceive and execute assigned programs incorporating City news and partner stories; assigned programming includes Brownsville TV Newscast anchoring and producing, podcast production and hosting. 
Oversee the editorial planning and execution of multiplatform projects and content. 
Develop and implement content strategies tailored to platforms, including TV, web, and social media. 
Ensure storytelling is aligned to City’s mission, government pillars, and with City goals; accurate and transparent. 
Review production rundowns of stories and special projects; develop future segments, stories and interviews for all platforms. 
Facilitate communication between within department including marketing, social media, graphics, and communications. 
Direct and deliver production elements on deadline. Manage and support content producers and production team. 
Cooperate and interact with department team to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and enterprise policy on broadcasts and news operations. 
Manage production calendars, budgets, and resource allocation. Ensure all content meets journalistic standards, copyright regulations, and legal compliance.
Minimum Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, broadcasting, or a specialized field such as public relations. 
10 years of related experience required. 
On-camera experience is highly desirable. Articulate, engaging, and knowledgeable about news events.

Valid Texas Driver’s License
